A Fixer Upper or a Duplex Lot: 3 Bed 1 Bath w/ Large Carport $139,000

This home is one of the oldest in the Franklin to the Fort neighborhood.  Built in the 20's, this home has a long and colorful history from old bootlegger tunnels to 10 ft handset rock walls in the basement.  The 2 x 6" solid wood floor joists are a reminder of a very different construction era.

This lot is zoned for a duplex in a neighborhood that is slowly converting most lots to multiple use housing and that is probably its best use.  However, if you are a contractor looking to fix up a home for rental or for your own use, this would also be an excellent buy.

It is fully functional, but will require flooring, some small plumbing fixes, and some drywall work.  The furnace is an excellent Coleman and runs well.  The SID for hookup to sewer has been paid and there is a 4" pipe running the the sewer in the alley.  All work on that was completed 4 years ago.
